Predictions — SSAT Upper practice questions
Predictions on the SSAT Upper Reading Comprehension section ask students to decide what is most likely to happen next, what a character will probably do, or what the author is likely to address, using only clues already in the passage. The student must weigh tone, motive, and cause and effect rather than outside knowledge. Stems usually ask which outcome is most reasonable or most likely. Wrong choices often restate something that already happened, jump far beyond the text, or pick a true detail that does not actually forecast the next step. The best answer follows the passage's direction without adding new facts.
