How the SSAT Upper is scored
SSAT Upper scores are reported as a Percentile ranging from 1 to 99, placing a student against others who took the same exam. Each question has 5 answer choices. A right answer raises the raw score, a blank leaves it unchanged, and a wrong answer subtracts 1/4 of a point, so random guessing can pull the result down. Quantitative (Math) allows 60 minutes for 50 questions, Reading Comprehension allows 40 minutes for 40 questions, and Verbal allows 30 minutes for 60 questions. Those section results are converted into the reported Percentile.

What the app estimates
